About
I'm Rakesh N Sharma. I've been reading charts for over 15 years.
I was six years old, in first standard, when my father was explaining lagna to someone at our house. I looked at the chart and told him which one was the lagna. He was so pleased that he told the whole family about it that evening, and I remember feeling like I had touched something that was mine.
Jyotisha runs on both sides of my family, paternal and maternal, so the books were always around. Through school I read them hidden under my textbooks. By the time I was grown, people had begun coming to me on their own for guidance, and I found I was doing two things at once — counselling them, and reading their charts. I've since read over 15,000 charts.
Alongside the classical tradition I carry from my family, I trained in prashna shastra at Jyotis Vastu Academy. Prashna is what drew me most. In prashna the moment you ask is the chart — you are asking the universe for guidance right then, with a prayer to Ganapathi and to all the planets. It answers specific questions better than anything else I know, and it works even when you don't have a reliable birth date, time and place — which is a great many people.
My sadhana and spiritual practice are part of how I work. Sometimes the intuition arrives before the calculation does.
What I won't do: frighten you into a remedy, sell you a stone you don't need, or tell you that your chart is cursed. A chart is a map of tendencies and timing. It is not a verdict.

Marriage & Matchmaking
💍 A guna score is one input. It is not the verdict.
Most matching stops at a number out of 36 and leaves the family to argue about it. That number answers one narrow question. It cannot tell you how two people will actually live together — so I read three layers, not one.
1 · Guna milan
Ashtakoot and, where the tradition calls for it, Dashakoot. I'll tell you the score — and, more usefully, which kootas are strong or weak, because a shortfall in nadi means something quite different from a shortfall in vashya.
2 · Synastry
The two charts read against each other. Where one person's planets fall in the other's houses, which contacts bring ease and which bring friction, and how each one's dasha periods line up over the coming years.
3 · The spousal houses
The 7th house and its lord in both charts, with Venus and Jupiter, plus the 2nd and 12th for family life and intimacy. This is what shows the kind of partner each person actually needs — and what they will struggle to give.
What this changes in practice
A 32/36 match can still come apart. A 22/36 can hold for fifty years. When the score and the charts disagree, you deserve to know why — and what to do about it — rather than being handed a number and left to guess.
